Living Labs in the Beta District

Living labs are exciting spaces for open and user-driven innovation where technology and the real world meet. In living labs, anything is possible — such as roads and intersections that are outfitted with fiber and data transmitting technology, healthcare leaders and technology leaders working together to solve public health challenges, or even fiberhoods across a variety of communities.

These labs are what make The Beta District unlike any other innovation region in the U.S. The only limit is your imagination.

This will allow state government to better use unmanned aircraft for its own purposes, such as for traffic management, and will eventually allow the state to enable the private sector to begin deploying drones for numerous commercial uses.
