Marysville-Dublin Partnership Wins Transportation Innovation Award
DriveOhio and the City of Marysville have been recognized with the 2025 Transportation Innovation Award in the Pilot and Testing category at the Transportation Innovation Forum, hosted by MORPC and Smart Columbus. The award celebrates the success of the Connected Marysville-Dublin project, a groundbreaking initiative that brought connected vehicle technology to a real-world environment.
Through partnerships with the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), Honda, the City of Dublin and the City of Marysville, the project outfitted vehicles with onboard units that provide in-car safety alerts, helping drivers avoid hazards such as red-light violations, pedestrian crossings, curve speeds and lane closures.
